Agony

So, how many of you have started exercise programs…felt accomplished after you completed that first workout…elated all that same day…but when it came to the next morning you wished you had actually spent the day boozing on a 12 hour bender that could be cured with a little idol worship of the porcelain god, 6 aspirin, and quiet?

Yeah, I thought so. I made the mistake of being ambitious on Sunday of working out for about 45 minutes to one of my wife’s aerobic tapes. Yes…it was a chick tape. Furthermore, it kicked my butt. I was proud, feeling good, and limber all day. What a rush. That was then.

Today…three days later…I feel like the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz walking the streets of Cleveland. I walk down stairs like an 80 year old and fall into my chair without any control. I should have bought a walker or crutches for the days after that first day.

Whoever coined the phrase “Feel the Burn” and “No Pain, No Gain” should be shot for understatement. Yes, I’m complaining but noone else will listen and you’re at least reading this stuff…so what better place to spout.

On another topic, I watched “Supernatural” on the WB last night. It was fun. If you’re looking for a toned down thriller with CSI style death but none of the science or rather science the Mulder way than this may be your show. It has one large story arc but most episodes are easy vignettes to follow. Nothing like cheap fun.

Now if I can only walk to the remote. Damn, I hate being out of shape.

Hey, welcome back to blogging. Yeah, I probably need to be on some kind of exercise regiment. I was walking a good bit for a while there, and that seemed to help. It's gonna be hard to start that up with winter coming.

I'm feeling pretty good these days. Now that I work from home, I walk up and down the stairs once or twice a day! Seriously though, I need to start some sort of excercise.
